The New Year is quickly approaching and that means it’s time to start thinking about New Year’s resolutions! Setting New Year’s resolutions are a great way to get yourself motivated and stay focused on your goals throughout the year, but choosing the right goals is just as important as making them. We want to make sure you choose a goal that’s not only right for you, but that you can keep too. So if you’re ready to know more, keep scrolling!
STEP 1: REVIEW YOUR YEAR
The first thing you should do when planning your New Year’s resolution is to reflect on your 2022. Do you set goals for this year? Did you achieve them? Why/why not?
Think about what went well this year, what you learnt from it and how you can use those learnings to do even bigger and better things next year!
STEP 2: BE REALISTIC
When planning your goals for next year it’s important to make sure they’re achievable. If you make a huge goal, but are away travelling Europe for half the year then you may need re-evaluate. Make sure your goals are realistic to the time you have and the other major events you have coming up so that you can stay motivated and stay on track.
STEP 3: MAKE YOURSELF A TIMELINE
Once you’ve decided on your goal for the year, it’s time to plot out your steps to success! Having smaller goals leading up to your large goals is a great way to stay motivated and keep yourself accountable.
STEP 4: CREATE A VISION BOARD
And finally, the fun part - creating a vision board! You can do this the old-fashioned way and start cutting and pasting, or create a board on Pinterest. The main thing is that you have a collection of motivating images, quotes and reminders to give you that extra motivation when you’re just not feeling it.
Make sure you have your vision board displayed somewhere you will see it all the time so you have a reminder and a motivator to keep going! Hang it on a wall in your room or use Canva to turn your Pinterest board into a phone lock screen.
Good luck team! Once you’ve created your vision board post it on your Instagram and make sure to tag us @podiumequestrian ❤️
